01 / Our story
A machine shop that grew up with its customers
Kestrel was founded by two engineers who were tired of waiting weeks for parts that didn’t fit. They rented a small workshop, bought a single CNC lathe and promised local manufacturers a faster, more honest alternative.
Today we run a 120,000 sq ft facility with in-house engineering, materials testing and quality labs. We still answer the phone ourselves, and we still treat every drawing like it matters, because to someone on a production line, it does.

Twenty-five years, one standard
1998
Founded with a single CNC lathe
Two engineers, one rented workshop and a promise to deliver parts that fit the first time.
2004
First export order
A European packaging line becomes our first international client, and still works with us today.
2011
New 120,000 sq ft plant
We move into a purpose-built facility with dedicated machining, moulding and assembly halls.
2018
ISO 9001 & 14001 certified
Formal quality and environmental systems, with full batch traceability for every order.
2024
Engineering & materials lab
An in-house lab for prototyping, materials testing and failure analysis opens its doors.
